Marketing Manager
Stephens Auditorium, managed by VenuWorks, on the campus of Iowa State University is looking for a dynamic and engaging person to fill the position of Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing marketing efforts including media buying, publicity, event promotion and the Performing Arts Series at Stephens.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Oversee marketing efforts that include, but are not limited to, creation of sales collateral, presentations, direct mail, email campaigns, website marketing and updates, advertising and social media marketing.
- Strategize, maintain and execute media plans including budget tracking.
- Negotiate paid and trade media placements to ensure the Center retains a dominant advertising presence.
- Places media buys for events and set advertising timelines and gathers bills for settlement.
- Establishes relationships with key personnel of the media, including newspapers, magazines, television and radio.
- Markets and promotes Performing Arts Series at Stephens
- Works to create advertisements for print, signage, direct mail, broadcast, etc.
- Explores new media opportunities to diversify Stephens’ marketing mix.
- Responsible for media during events.
- Maintains regular office hours and requires evening and weekend work as event schedule demands.

Food and Beverage Staff
Food and Beverage staff members are part-time employees that work event based hours. This position is responsible for serving patrons food and beverages in an efficient and respectful manner, while working in a fast-paced environment. Individuals should strive to provide outstanding customer service and be comfortable handling and balancing money each shift. This position involves serving beer and wine responsibly and adhering to all venue and state alcohol service policies and procedures.
