ISU STUDENT TICKETS

Funding by Iowa State University Student Government allows us to offer discounts to ISU students for our Performing Arts Series shows. Student discounts are also available for Fisher Theater performances, ISU Music performances, and many more events!

A valid ISU ID is required for all student discount purchases. Students may only purchase one ticket per event per valid university ID. Student discounts may only be available for certain price levels and/or seat locations which vary by performance.

Where to Get Tickets

ISU student discount purchases can be made online by clicking the “Purchase Student Tickets” button below, or by visiting the Stephens Auditorium Ticket Office (corner of Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue). A valid ISU student ID must be present at the time of purchase.

Part-time Opportunities 

Concessions Staff

Concessions staff members are part-time employees that work event-based hours. This position is responsible for serving patrons food and beverages in an efficient and respectful manner, while working in a fast-paced environment. Individuals should strive to provide outstanding customer service and be comfortable handling and balancing money each shift. This position involves serving beer and wine responsibly and adhering to all venue and state alcohol service policies and procedures. Guest Services Staff

Our guest services employees are responsible for assisting patrons in all aspects of their visit to Stephens Auditorium. These employees greet guests as they arrive and depart the venue, while ensuring that all patrons are safe during their time in the venue. Employees become familiar with the venue so that they are able answer patron questions and respond to emergency situations. Employees are responsible for maintaining control of the areas they are assigned during an event, as well as reading tickets in order to direct patrons to the correct areas. Ticketing Staff

Ticketing staff members are responsible for executing sales accurately and efficiently, welcoming guests to events, and providing excellent customer service (both in-person and over the phone). These employees should have an entry level knowledge of basic computer operations and point of sale systems. Skills in guest relations, phone etiquette, and cash handling is a must. These individuals should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask, and have exceptional attention to detail (along with a positive attitude!). Tech/Backstage Staff

Tech staff members are responsible for assisting in the assembly and dis-assembly of events and show productions. They help load and unload trucks, assemble production equipment on stage, construct set pieces, risers, and musical equipment, and move furniture, road cases, and other miscellaneous equipment. They also help with spotlighting operations during shows (after introductory training) and assist with video, sound, and light production before, during, and after events. Internship Opportunities 

There are no internship opportunities with Stephens Auditorium at this time.

Volunteer Opportunities

Stephens Street Team 

Interested in entertainment and the performing arts? Come join us! All students, regardless of major, are welcome to be a part of Stephens Street Team. Stephens Street Team is a volunteer group that assists with marketing, advertising and community outreach on behalf of Stephens Auditorium. Activities include planning on-campus promotional events, print and digital marketing efforts, assisting with live performances and presenting to campus clubs, organizations and residence halls about our Performing Arts Series (plus, much more!). We welcome, and encourage, students with unique and creative ideas to become a part of our team!
