Thank you for your interest in using the performing arts as an important component in your academic curriculum. We are happy to offer both national touring and Iowa State University student performances specifically designed to enhance your students’ education. You can find information on the 2021-2022 Martha-Ellen Tye Youth Matinee Series below. These performances are open to everyone – school groups, home schoolers, community groups, seniors and families – because like all supporters of arts education, we believe that artistic expression, creativity and imagination are at the core of a complete education and an essential part of life.
All seats are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. All ages and all group sizes are welcome. Scholarship admission is available for students enrolled in the federal lunch program. Please contact Tammy Koolbeck at firstname.lastname@example.org or (515) 294-8809 with questions.

*Scholarships – Please use this Iowa DOE document to calculate free admissions for classrooms attending any of the Martha-Ellen Youth Matinee Series shows in 2021-22 school year. Although new federal guidelines extended free school lunches for all students, we are unable to offer free admission to everyone due to our own budget constraints.
Please arrive early. To ensure you and your fellow audience members enjoy the performance, please plan to arrive at the theater at least 15 minutes before curtain time. Be generous in your estimation of travel and parking time.
Space is available at the Iowa State Center for students to eat sack lunches. There is no charge for this service, but advance notification on the registration form is required to ensure availability.
If you request an event that has sold out, you will be notified and your group can be placed on the waiting list or you may sign up for another performance. If you are placed on the waiting list and seating becomes available, you will be contacted by telephone in the order in which your registration was received.
Refunds (SNOW & INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY)
Refunds are issued only if your school is closed or delayed due to inclement weather or if the event is cancelled. Because we are unable to resell reserved seats, refunds are not issued due to student illness or absence.
Study guides are available for each Youth Matinee Series performance and will be available online at least six weeks prior to the show. Grade levels are a recommendation only; performances are open to all ages.
To order tickets, please register using the Tickets box next to any of the listed performances below. Please note there is one order form for all shows. You may order one show or multiple shows on this order form.
