US-based Okaidja Afroso and his ensemble, musicians and dancers connected to the musical traditions of the African Diaspora, will tour to Ames, Iowa, instead of previously-scheduled Choor, musicians from the Inner Mongolia region of China. Choor’s week-long residencies in three other Midwestern communities have been postponed to the fall of 2020.
A singer, guitarist, percussionist, and dancer, Okaidja Afroso is deeply connected to the musical traditions of the African Diaspora and devoted to bringing together diverse modes of expression in pursuit of global harbony.
