Reservations

Admission is $4 per reservation in advance and $5 per reservation on the day of the show. Seating is general admission.

Advance registrations must be placed online at center.iastate.edu/education. Please note that the email address used to make the reservation online will be the email used to communicate all related performance information, including postponements and cancellations. Reservations via email or phone will not be accepted at this time.

When making a reservation for your group, be sure to include all the students and adults that will be attending, including teachers, aides, chaperones, and bus drivers. Everyone who plans to watch the performance inside the theater must have a reservation.

Groups of 10 or fewer people

Reservations for 10 or fewer people must pay online at the time of placing the reservation. Acceptable payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.

Seats can be added based on availability up to one week before the performance. Payment for additional seats is due at the time of placing the reservation for the additional seat. Seating is general admission.

Groups of 11 or more people

Reservations for 11 or more people may pay online at the time of placing the reservation or pay later with a check. Upon submitting the reservation form, you will receive an email confirmation that will also serve as an invoice for payment. Please print this invoice and mail it to Stephens Auditorium along with your check to complete your order.

Payment

Payment is due four weeks prior to the performance. Acceptable payment methods include card (debit/credit) or check (personal/business). All payments sent via mail must include a copy of the invoice email confirmation.

Seats can be added based on availability up to one week before the performance. Payment for additional seats is due at the time of placing the reservation for the additional seat.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be submitted in writing no later than six weeks prior to the performance. Cancellations after this date are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total for the group order.

Stephens Auditorium reserves the right to cancel unpaid orders after the payment due date. In the event that an order is cancelled, the group will be notified, and the cancellation fee outlined above will be due.

If your group does not show up for a performance and does not notify Stephens Auditorium prior to the performance, the group will be held responsible for the full dollar amount on the invoice.

Refunds

Refunds will not be issued for seats unused due to scheduling conflicts, individual student or adult absence or transfer, or for dislike of the performance. If your school is officially closed or delayed on the day of the performance or your group is no longer able to attend due to an illness outbreak, you may exchange your reservation for another school performance within the same season. To exchange your reservation, contact Stephens Auditorium at ticketoffice@iastate.edu. If your group is unable to attend a school performance within the same season, a refund will be issued.

Inclement Weather

If Stephens Auditorium or the performance company must cancel the event due to inclement weather or other reason, all groups will have the option to exchange for another school performance within the same season or receive a refund.

Recommended Grade Levels

An appropriate grade level is recommended for each performance based on a joint decision between each performance company and Stephens Auditorium. Some performances may not be appropriate for very young children.

Lunches

Space is available at the Iowa State Center for students to eat school sack lunches. There is no charge for this service, but advance notification on the registration form is required to ensure availability.
