About Kellie Lin

Kellie Lin (a.k.a. Kellie Lin Knott) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, songstress, and educator in Minneapolis, MN. Kellie Lin has delivered playful performances since age 8 for audiences at coffeehouses, festivals, clubs, stadiums, and listening rooms. Known for quirky commentary, guitar grooves & an eclectic catalog of original tunes in divergent styles, Kellie Lin is entertaining, endearing, and irreverent.

Kellie cut her teeth in the late 90s in Boston’s bustling songwriter scene, playing clubs up and down the coast as a soloist and as one third of women’s original pop group, Tres Femmes. When not touring, she worked as a full-time street musician, hustling tips in Harvard Square and down in the subways. She later traveled the world as a yoga teacher, CEO and educator, all the while still performing, but refocused her energy on music and writing with the release of her 2016 album, The World Awake (available on all streaming channels and at www.kellielin.com).

Kellie spent five years living and performing on the island of Kauai (Hawaii) and returned to her home state of Minnesota in late 2020 to be closer to family. During the pandemic, she’s been tapped to provide live-streaming tech, show-running and sound support for some of her favorite songwriters, and she also offers a weekly Facebook & YouTube stream of her originals.

Kellie believes music is a doorway to connection and healing and often writes songs of comfort and transformation dressed up in jazz, country and folk-pop stylings. She is currently working on her next record to be released in Fall of 2021.
