Our audience is a valuable part of every performance. Here are some tips that will make
everyone’s visit to Stephens Auditorium even more enjoyable.

Please make it to your seat on time.
Arriving “fashionably late” to the theater is never appropriate. Being distracted by a latecomer is frustrating for many actors and audience members.

Children
Young people are always welcome at Iowa State Center events. However, some performances require an adult attention span and a quiet auditorium. Please be considerate of both your young ones and other guests by excusing yourself with your child if they become disruptive during a performance. Consider calling the Iowa State Center for specific information about shows suited to children or appropriate seating locations so you can both enjoy the performance. And remember,
all children require a ticket.

Please be considerate of those around you.
The people sitting near you deserve to enjoy the performance as much as you do. Candy
wrappers, chiming watches, cell phones, and pagers can disrupt the experience of a live performance. Please resist the urge to share your thoughts about the performance or carry on
a conversation with your neighbor until intermission or after the performance.

Cell phones and pagers should be turned off or left, along with your seat location, at the Guest Services Desk which is located in the main floor lobby on the north side of Stephens Auditorium. Guests are also respectfully requested to turn off alarm watches.

Please stay and show your appreciation.
A quick departure is noticed by everyone in the audience and the performers on stage. Making a mad dash for the exit expresses inconsiderate behavior and creates a safety risk. Please wait to exit until the lights go up.

Cameras
Taking photographs and the use of recording devices are not allowed and are a violation of state and federal copyright laws. Tape and film will be confiscated.

Guests expecting messages should leave the Guest Services number, 515 - 294 - 2313, and their seat location with the calling party.

First aid assistance is provided by Mary Greeley Medical Center. Please ask your usher for details or visit the Guest Services Desk for any first aid assistance.

Lost and found items may be reported and claimed at the Guest Services Desk. Following an
event, please call 515 - 294 - 3347 to inquire about any lost items. Lost and found items are kept
for 30 days.

Free parking is available in the lots south and east of Stephens Auditorium. Lots A - 1 and B - 3
are reserved for Stephens Program Fund-AIOFA contributors and Stage Door Club members.
Lots are reserved up to 15 minutes prior to show time and are subject to availability. Parking
for mobility - impaired guests is available in the fire lane located west of Stephens Auditorium.

Coat check is available at Stephens Auditorium free of charge on the ground floor lobby, just west of the Celebrity Café. The Iowa State Center is not responsible for loss of personal property.

Cancellations due to bad weather are typically not decided until hours before curtain time and will be announced by the media whenever possible. Guests may call the Ticket Office at 515-294-2479 or the Administration Office at 515-294-3347 for specific performance information.

Ticket Office window hours are 10 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday. For weekday performances, the ticket office remains open until curtain time. The Ticket Office opens two hours prior to curtain time for weekend performances.

Food and beverages may be purchased at concession stands located in the lobby areas of the main floor and ground floor before performances and during intermissions.

Elevators are located in the lobbies of all floors on the north side of Stephens Auditorium.

Smoking is not allowed in Stephens Auditorium.All Iowa State Center buildings are entirely
smoke-free.
