With more than 130 concerts during its annual season, the Orquestra de São Paulo (OSESP) is considered the most outstanding orchestra in Latin America and has become the barometer of quality and excellence in the fields of art, culture, and education in Brazil.
Maestro Kazem Abdullah, quickly becoming one of the most watched young American conductors on the scene today, leads the orchestra in a program which includes Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 and MacMillan's Veni, Veni Emmanuel featuring soloist Dame Evelyn Glennie. Glennie is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a solo percussionist and one of the most eclectic and innovative musicians on the scene today.
