The Power of the Arts
We believe in the power of the arts to entertain, inform, educate, energize and change lives. For 40 years, Iowa State University and central Iowa have experienced the power of the arts at Stephens Auditorium thanks to the artistry of a diverse range of professional performers. These actors, dancers and musicians entertain, develop the cultural perspective of Iowans, and enhance the educational environment of Iowa State University.

While these programs succeed in broadening our worldly perspectives, financing the arts can be challenging. Because ticket sales cover only 65% of performance costs, the Performing Arts Fund was created in 1996 to help bridge the gap between expenses and revenues.
