Scheman Conference Center
The Facility
The Scheman Conference Center offers:
- 21 meeting rooms, varying in size and design, with many unique features. Each room can be tailored to
your needs.
- 8,000 square feet of exhibit space in the large, comfortable lobby areas,
with 2,600 square feet of outdoor, covered exhibit space.
- Complete booth set up, drapery, tables, and chairs are available for a
daily rental fee.
- Two loading docks simplify the transportation of equipment and exhibits.
- Ample free parking next to the building is available.
Benton Auditorium is a 450-seat auditorium. Features include:
- the latest in audiovisual and telecommunications equipment
- satellite transmission
- simultaneous multilingual translation capabilities
You can combine the use of these other Iowa State Center facilities:
- Hilton Coliseum, which offers 30,000 square feet of exhibit space
- Stephens Auditorium seats 2,750
- Fisher Theatre seats 450 people
Housing:
- Many nearby motels offer comfortable lodging for Scheman guests throughout
the year.
- During the summer months, dormitory housing is available close to Scheman.
 
Conference Services
At Scheman, we are committed to running a premier conference facility
at a reasaonable price. Our conference coordinators help you design the
room, select menus, arrange for all audio-visual equipment and determine
any special needs you have. We provide a dependable and professional service
staff that are present during your event.

Additional services are available for meeting planners through
ISU Continuing Education and Communication Services which provides comprehensive conference management services to university departments and other organizations. Experienced staff members handle all logistics, manage finances, process registration and provide complete marketing services.
Food & Beverage
The Scheman kitchen provides a diversity of food and beverage services
for all events. Our conference menu offers many attractive and delicious foods, whether it be for a coffee break or complete banquet.
Gourmet dinners and wedding receptions overlooking the ISU campus are popular Scheman events. Enjoy the relaxing Scheman Courtyard
for outdoor barbecues. Full liquor service is available.

Audio/Visual Services
 A complete audio-visual center is located in Scheman, with up-to-date equipment
and personnel to handle its operation. Overhead projectors, slide projectors,
projection screen and microphones are included with each meeting room at
no charge. Other Scheman equipment and services are available.
