DESCRIPTION:http://www.center.iastate.edu/events/series/biloxi-blues/ \n We welcome back the incomparable Montana Repertory Theatre with Neil Simon’s great Biloxi Blues, a comedy about young men going off to war that earned Mr. Simon his first Tony® Award.

It’s the middle play in his stellar autobiographical trilogy which begins with Brighton Beach Memoirs and ends with Broadway Bound. Infused with Simon’s trademark humor and humanity, Biloxi Blues is an American masterpiece by one of the all-time Broadway greats.

Characters:
Eugene Morris JeromeDetermined to accomplish three things in the war: “Become a writer, not get killed and lose my virginity.”
Arnold EpsteinIdealistic, quietly rebellious intellectual with a delicate stomach, refuses to “capitulate to the lunatics.”
Joseph WykowskiA boorish, loudmouthed bigot who misses no opportunity to humiliate and ridicule his fellow soldiers in training.
Roy SelridgeHas no grasp of geography and little imagination, but makes an appreciative audience for Wykowski.
Don CarneyWaffling and indecisive, knows all the words to “Chattanooga Choo-Choo”––only when he’s singing in his sleep.
Sergeant Merwin J. ToomeyA bully who pits the young soldiers against each other and defines himself as “the cruelest, craziest, most sadistic son of a bitch you ever saw.”
